Greggs Banbury, 17 High St
Welcome to Greggs Banbury, 17 High St, a popular spot nestled in the heart of historic Banbury. Known for its delightful array of baked goods and caffeinated beverages, this location is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The address, 17 High Street, Banbury, EMEA OX16 5EE, places it conveniently near shops and attractions, making it an ideal stop during your explorations in the area.
As a food reviewer, I appreciate cafes that offer a warm atmosphere, and Greggs does just that. However, it has had mixed reviews regarding its service and food availability. Customer feedback reflects both the charm and the challenges of this spot:
- Jumokeadetunji91 Jumoke experienced a delay with her pepperoni order, highlighting a struggle with timing—a common theme among diners.
- Herman Yeung expressed disappointment about inconsistent opening hours, particularly when it was pouring rain and the staff seemed unresponsive.
- In contrast, Fran Byrne noted the friendly staff and the warmth of their coffee, alongside their delicious sausage rolls—if they could be timed just right.
Despite the criticisms, Greggs Banbury holds a reputation for its classic offerings. The aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air, enticing customers as they step inside. Their range of pastries, such as the beloved sausage rolls and steak bakes, are crowd-pleasers, especially when served warm. Yet, the absence of a hot counter leaves diners wishing for faster service and availability.
All in all, Greggs Banbury, 17 High St may not be without its flaws, but for those who appreciate well-made baked goods and a welcoming environment, it has much to offer. It’s a spot worth visiting, especially if you can time your visit just right and enjoy their products at their best!

I’m just a visitor that was happy to explore Banbury, I order for a box of pepperoni and I was told it was going to take about min, I was sat for min and I had to ask about my order this lady which I was too pissed to get her name said said it was still in the oven, I went back after another min she said she needed to attend to other people that was still looking out for what they want to buy I was like but there’s no one making payments yet, the pizza has been ready, oven was open , she went brought it out but only to get back to my apartment to see a burnt pizza

Really poor about opening time and services. Its own website stated it would be open at : but didn’t. To make matters worse, the woman who saw me with two children outside with heavy rain ignored us all along. So much with the posters talking about its charity feeding hungry children but its staff didn’t care leaving them outside cold and wet!

Staff are really nice and friendly. Coffee is very nice and their sausage rolls are good too if you can get them just out of the oven it's unfortunate they don't have a hot counter which I don't understand why they haven't got one. My sister got a steak pastry and it was cold as it was probably in the serve over for a little while.. So Gregg is great if you time it right
